Sweep or vacuum regularly to keep sand and grit off the surface — fine particles are the main source of fine scratching on any vinyl floor. Use a pH-neutral cleaner such as Bona Hard-Surface Floor Cleaner or a diluted dish-soap solution with a damp mop; avoid anything acidic or abrasive. Keep steam mops off this floor entirely — the heat and pressure can compromise the click joints and attached pad over time. That said, water that works its way under the floor through gaps at the perimeter or around transitions can still sit on the subfloor below, so keeping seams and edges sealed is important.
