Natural Deco SPC Rigid-Core Plank starts at $3.99 per square foot installed in Fort Myers — a dark natural wood-look floor from CPF Floors’ Deco54 8mm collection. The wide 9″×54″ plank format gives rooms a grounded, earthy feel without sacrificing the waterproof performance Southwest Florida homes demand. It’s a straightforward, well-built floor that earns its place.
Natural Deco is built for the conditions Fort Myers throws at floors every day. The rigid stone-plastic composite core won’t buckle or gap when humidity swings between a sealed air-conditioned interior and a wet Florida summer outside — a real issue with wood-based floors on concrete slab. The 2mm HD EVA pad attached underneath adds cushion and helps the plank bridge minor surface irregularities common in slab construction.
The 22-mil wear layer is thick enough to handle sandy foot traffic, active pets, and the kind of furniture-dragging that comes with move-ins and move-outs. That makes it a practical choice for rental properties, vacation homes, and high-traffic living areas where looks and durability both matter.

Flooring Queen installs Natural Deco at $3.99 per square foot, covering the full scope of a standard job: delivery to your Fort Myers home, removal and disposal of the existing floor covering, surface prep for a clean slab, floating installation using the angle-angle method, baseboards, and transition strips where needed. One price, no hidden line items for the straightforward stuff.
Some situations cost more — significant floor leveling for an out-of-plane slab, stair nosing, or custom layout patterns. Call or book online for a free in-home measurement; you’ll receive a written quote scoped to your actual square footage and any conditions our installer flags on-site.
Waterproof laminate and SPC rigid-core planks look similar in a showroom, but the core material separates them quickly once you get into Southwest Florida realities. Laminate uses a high-density fiberboard core that absorbs moisture at the edges and seams even when the surface coating is rated waterproof — a slab that sweats or a bathroom overflow can still cause swelling. SPC’s mineral-composite core is dimensionally stable and genuinely indifferent to water moving through it.
Where laminate can win is underfoot feel — many laminate products have a slightly warmer, more wood-like sound when walked on. SPC with an attached pad narrows that gap considerably. At $3.99 installed for SPC versus roughly $4.50 for comparable waterproof laminate, the rigid-core option is also the better value for moisture-prone installs.

Sweep or dust-mop Natural Deco regularly to keep grit — especially the fine sand that follows Southwest Florida foot traffic everywhere — from acting like sandpaper on the wear layer over time. For routine washing, use a pH-neutral vinyl floor cleaner such as Bona Stone, Tile & Laminate or a diluted Zep neutral cleaner; avoid anything citrus-based, acidic, or abrasive, and skip steam mops entirely — sustained heat and pressurized steam can loosen the attached pad and affect the locking joints. Never use a vacuum with a spinning beater bar set to its lowest position directly on the planks. For technical guidance, see the World Floor Covering Association vinyl flooring guide.
Natural Deco’s SPC core is genuinely waterproof — water that sits on the surface or seeps into a seam won’t swell or warp the plank itself. The locking joints are not sealed, so prolonged submersion isn’t recommended, but normal spills, wet mopping, and high-humidity rooms present no structural risk.
The 22-mil wear layer on Natural Deco is thick enough to handle daily claw traffic from large dogs without visible scratching under normal conditions. Cleanup is easy — the waterproof surface wipes clean. Keeping nails trimmed and placing mats at exterior doors where dogs shake off water and debris will extend the floor’s appearance.
A single room typically takes one day; a full home runs two to four days depending on total square footage, furniture moving, and any subfloor work needed. Natural Deco’s angle-angle floating install is efficient — no glue or nails — so scheduling delays are minimal once the project starts.
Natural Deco works in every above-grade and on-grade room including bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry areas. It’s not rated for below-grade below-slab installations. The floating angle-angle method also means it shouldn’t be used on staircases without specific stair-nosing trim, which is an upcharge item.
Natural Deco is SPC — Stone Plastic Composite — which means the core contains limestone powder that makes it significantly denser and more dimensionally stable than standard LVP’s flexible vinyl core. That rigidity matters on concrete slabs: SPC bridges minor surface imperfections better and is far less likely to expand or contract with temperature swings.
SPC rigid-core flooring handles seasonal vacancy better than wood-based products because the mineral core doesn’t respond to humidity cycling the way wood fiber does. Keep the AC set to at least 78°F while you’re away to prevent extreme heat buildup. Natural Deco won’t gap, cup, or buckle during a typical Florida off-season if the home stays climate-controlled.
We chose every vinyl product in this catalog because it stands up to the realities of Florida living: humidity, sandy substrate, busy households. Flooring Queen installs what we sell, licensed and insured. Free in-home measure: (239) 763-0770.
