MSI Surfaces is a large-scale flooring and surfaces distributor known for broad product selection and consistent quality control across their lines. Their luxury vinyl plank offerings are built on a stone plastic composite core — rigid, dimensionally stable, and fully waterproof through the entire thickness of the plank. Installing MSI Surfaces in Southwest Florida
Southwest Florida puts floors through a specific kind of stress — high humidity, concrete slab construction, and air conditioning that cycles hard all year. SPC luxury vinyl handles that combination better than most flooring categories we install. The rigid core doesn’t cup or gap with the moisture swings we see between rainy season and dry season, which is a common failure point with engineered hardwood in this climate.
On concrete slabs, which is most of what we work on in Fort Myers and the surrounding area, MSI’s LVP lines install with minimal prep as long as the slab is flat and dry. We’ve found their click-lock profiles to be consistent across production runs, which matters when you’re laying a lot of square footage. One thing to watch: lighter coastal colorways in the Laurel collections can show fine dust and debris more readily — not a product flaw, just a reality of SWFL living with doors and sliders open. Choose finish accordingly, or plan for a slightly higher-maintenance floor.
