Specifications

Tile In Linear Oatmeal SPC Tile starts at $3.99/sq ft installed in Fort Myers — a soft cream, large-format SPC tile from TRUCOR’s TILE collection designed to bring a clean, tile-look aesthetic to Florida homes without the weight or cost of real ceramic. The 16″ x 32″ format reads airy and modern, and the Linear Oatmeal colorway keeps spaces feeling open and neutral.

What Tile In Linear Oatmeal SPC Tile is built for

TRUCOR’s SPC core is built for Southwest Florida’s conditions: concrete slab foundations, high humidity, and the moisture swings that come with coastal air and seasonal occupancy. The floating I4F click system installs above, on, or below grade, so it works equally well in ground-floor living areas, laundry rooms, and below-grade spaces — spots where traditional tile would demand professional mud-bed setting and rigid substrate work.

The 20 mil wear layer and TRUWEAR finish handle sandy foot traffic, pet claws, and the heavy furniture loads that come with snowbird rental properties. The attached IXPE pad softens the feel compared to glue-down SPC and adds a slight acoustic buffer — useful in open-plan homes where hard surfaces tend to amplify noise.

Installed pricing in Fort Myers & Southwest Florida

At $3.99 per square foot installed, Flooring Queen’s price covers the full project: material delivery, removal of your existing floor covering, standard subfloor preparation, the installation itself, new baseboards, transition strips, and debris removal from the jobsite. There are no hidden labor charges for a straightforward floating installation on a level slab.

Certain conditions do carry additional cost — significant floor leveling work, custom tile borders, or non-standard layouts like diagonal or herringbone patterns. Contact us for a free in-home measurement; we’ll come out, assess your subfloor, and put together a written quote so you know the exact number before any work begins.

How Tile In Linear Oatmeal SPC Tile compares

Porcelain tile is the traditional choice for Florida homes, and it’s genuinely durable — but it’s heavier, colder underfoot, and significantly more expensive to install. A porcelain tile job in Southwest Florida typically runs around $8.99/sq ft installed, and that doesn’t account for the cost of cracked tiles during installation, grout maintenance, or the fact that porcelain on a slab can be uncomfortable to stand on for long periods.

The TRUCOR Tile in Linear Oatmeal gives you the same large-format tile look and water resistance at less than half the installed cost. Where porcelain wins: it’s harder to scratch with sharp edges, and it holds up better under extreme heat. Where SPC tile wins: faster installation, warmer feel, and no grout lines to seal or re-seal over time.

Care & maintenance

Keep this floor clean with a damp mop and a pH-neutral cleaner — brands like Bona Hard-Surface Floor Cleaner or Black Diamond Wood & Laminate Floor Cleaner work well without leaving residue. Avoid steam mops entirely; the heat and pressure can compromise the click joints and the IXPE pad over time. Skip ammonia-based or abrasive cleaners, which dull the TRUWEAR finish. For grit and sand — inevitable in Southwest Florida — a microfiber dust mop used daily does more to protect the wear layer than any cleaner. Place felt pads under furniture legs to prevent surface scuffing, and use mats at exterior doors to cut down on tracked-in debris. Frequently asked questions

Does this floor need grout, and if so how often should it be sealed?

This is an SPC tile with a floating click installation — there are no grout lines, so grout sealing is not required at any point. The painted bevel edge creates the visual appearance of a joint without the maintenance overhead that comes with real grout in a wet or sandy environment like Southwest Florida.

The tile is 16 by 32 inches — how does that affect the way a room lays out?

A 16″ x 32″ tile covers a lot of ground per piece, which means fewer seams and a cleaner, more expansive look in open-plan rooms. Larger tiles do require a flatter subfloor to avoid lippage — uneven edges between tiles — so our installers will assess your slab flatness before the job starts and flag any leveling needed.

Will this floor feel ice-cold underfoot during cooler months?

SPC tile with an IXPE pad beneath it stays noticeably warmer than real porcelain or ceramic, which draws heat away from your feet quickly. In Southwest Florida, winter floor temperatures rarely drop to the extremes seen in northern climates, but the pad layer here provides a meaningful buffer if you’re padding around barefoot on a cool January morning.

Can this go directly over my old tile, or does the existing floor have to come up first?

In many cases, yes — the I4F floating click system can install over existing hard surfaces as long as the floor is flat, structurally sound, and within acceptable height tolerances for transitions. Our installer will measure and inspect the existing floor during your estimate; if there are loose tiles, high spots, or height conflicts at doorways, those issues get called out before work begins.

Which rooms in the house is this a good fit for, and are there any spaces where it’s not the right call?

This product installs above, on, or below grade, which makes it suitable for virtually any room in a Florida home — living areas, kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, and enclosed lanais all work well. It’s not intended for exterior unenclosed spaces with direct sun and rain exposure, and like all floating floors it needs a stable, non-flexible substrate rather than a springy subfloor.

What does the warranty actually cover on this product?

TRUCOR provides a Limited Lifetime Residential warranty and a 15-Year Commercial warranty on this product. The residential coverage addresses manufacturing defects in the wear layer, core, and locking system under normal use conditions. For the full list of covered and excluded scenarios — including requirements for professional installation and proper maintenance — the warranty document is available for download from the product page.
