Cyrus 2.0 Chester Hills Luxury Vinyl Planks SPC Rigid-Core Plank starts at $3.99 per square foot installed in Fort Myers — a natural-toned wood-look floor built for the demands of real Southwest Florida homes. From MSI Surfaces’ Cyrus 2.0 collection, Chester Hills pairs a warm, organic palette with a stone-plastic composite core that holds its shape through coastal humidity and concrete-slab conditions.
The 5mm SPC core doesn’t expand and contract the way softer vinyl does, which matters in homes that sit on concrete slabs — the dominant foundation type across Southwest Florida. Moisture from below, salt air near the coast, and the region’s humidity swings don’t threaten a rigid-core floor the way they challenge wood.
The 20-mil wear layer is suited for active households. Heavy foot traffic, sandy floors tracked in from the beach, and the general wear of everyday life won’t eat through it quickly. It works across living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, and bathrooms alike.
| Thickness | 5MM |

At $3.99 per square foot installed, Flooring Queen’s price covers delivery of materials, removal and disposal of your existing floor covering, standard subfloor prep, full installation, baseboards, and transition strips between rooms. There are no hidden labor fees tacked on after the fact.
Certain conditions add to that base number: significant subfloor leveling, stair nosing, diagonal or herringbone lay patterns, or custom border work are priced separately. Schedule a free in-home measurement and we’ll walk through the scope of your specific project, put the numbers on paper, and leave you with a written quote before any commitment.
Chester Hills gives you a wood aesthetic without the moisture sensitivity that makes real wood a gamble in Southwest Florida. Engineered hardwood has a genuine wood veneer on top, so the look and feel are slightly warmer — but that veneer is still wood, and it reacts to humidity, can’t be installed in wet areas, and costs significantly more once labor is factored in.
SPC vinyl wins on total-cost, waterproofing, and long-term stability in a humid climate. Engineered hardwood wins on the tactile authenticity of real wood grain and, for some buyers, resale perception. If your priority is a floor that genuinely doesn’t care about moisture or sandy traffic, the SPC is the more practical call here.

Sweep or dust-mop Chester Hills regularly — grit and sand are the primary culprits for surface wear on any vinyl floor. Damp-mop with a pH-neutral cleaner such as Bona Hard-Surface Floor Cleaner or a similar vinyl-safe formula; avoid anything with ammonia, bleach, or citrus solvents, as these can dull the wear layer over time. Skip the steam mop entirely — sustained heat and pressure can compromise the adhesion between the wear layer and the SPC core. A doormat at every entry point cuts down on abrasive debris and extends the floor’s appearance significantly. For technical guidance, see the World Floor Covering Association vinyl flooring guide.
Chester Hills is fully waterproof — the SPC core does not absorb water, so standing water won’t swell or warp the planks themselves. That said, water that sits long enough to seep under the floor can affect the subfloor beneath it, so wiping up spills and addressing leaks promptly is still good practice.
The 20-mil wear layer on Chester Hills is one of the more durable wear layers in the residential vinyl category, and it resists pet-nail scratching better than thinner-wear options. Accidents clean up without staining because the surface is non-porous. Very large, active dogs may still leave marks over time, but day-to-day wear is well within what this floor is designed to handle.
SPC (stone-plastic composite) has a rigid core made from limestone powder and PVC, while traditional LVP uses a softer, more flexible core. Chester Hills is SPC, which means it’s dimensionally stable — it resists denting under heavy furniture and doesn’t flex underfoot the way standard LVP can. In practical terms, SPC handles temperature swings and heavy loads better, which matters in Florida homes.
Chester Hills works well in virtually every room in the house, including bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms, and living areas. Because it’s a floating floor installed at or above grade, it’s also suitable for slab-on-grade construction common in Southwest Florida. It isn’t designed for outdoor use or areas with direct, prolonged sun exposure without UV window protection in place.
Plank dimensions weren’t included in the spec sheet available to us, so we won’t guess. Contact Flooring Queen directly or request a sample and we can confirm the exact length and width before you order. Plank size affects how the floor scales visually — longer, wider planks tend to make a room feel more open, while narrower planks can suit tighter spaces or more traditional aesthetics.
SPC rigid-core floors like Chester Hills are among the most stable options for seasonal homes. The stone-plastic composite core doesn’t expand and contract as dramatically as wood or softer vinyl when the air conditioning is turned down or off for months. That said, extreme sustained heat can stress any floating floor, so keeping your thermostat at a reasonable setpoint while away — even 80°F — helps protect both the floor and the home overall.
