Specifications

Cyrus Brianka Luxury Vinyl Planks SPC Rigid-Core Plank starts at $3.99 per square foot installed in Fort Myers — a warm taupe wood-look floor from MSI Surfaces’ CYRUS collection. The Brianka colorway reads as a calm, neutral tone that works with a wide range of cabinet and wall finishes. Flooring Queen carries and professionally installs it throughout Southwest Florida.

What Cyrus Brianka Luxury Vinyl Planks SPC Rigid-Core Plank is built for

The rigid stone-polymer core in this plank was built to resist the dimensional changes that Southwest Florida’s heat and humidity push on softer flooring materials. Concrete slab foundations — the standard in this region — aren’t an issue. Neither is the moisture that rolls in off the Gulf during summer.

The 12-mil wear layer adds meaningful scratch and scuff protection, which matters in rentals, seasonal homes with rotating occupants, and any household that sees real daily use. Coming back to a snowbird home after six months away, you won’t find warped planks or lifted seams waiting for you.

Installed pricing in Fort Myers & Southwest Florida

Flooring Queen installs Cyrus Brianka at $3.99 per square foot, and that price covers the full job: delivery to your home, removal and disposal of the existing floor covering, standard subfloor prep, the installation itself, baseboards, and transition strips between rooms.

A few things carry an upcharge — significant subfloor leveling, stair nosing, intricate diagonal or herringbone layouts, and custom border work. To find out exactly what your project will run, schedule a free in-home measurement. You’ll receive a written quote before any work begins, so there are no surprises on billing day.

How Cyrus Brianka Luxury Vinyl Planks SPC Rigid-Core Plank compares

Shoppers who like the Brianka’s taupe wood tone often look at engineered hardwood as an alternative, and the comparison is worth thinking through honestly.

Engineered hardwood has a real wood veneer, so it looks and feels like the genuine article underfoot. It can also be lightly refinished once or twice over its life. But in Southwest Florida’s humidity and in wet-prone rooms, wood veneers can cup or delaminate over time. The SPC core in Brianka is fully waterproof and dimensionally stable in ways no wood-based floor can match. Engineered hardwood also runs significantly higher on installation cost. If authenticity of grain texture is the top priority and moisture exposure is low, engineered hardwood has a case. For bathrooms, laundry rooms, or any room on slab, Brianka is the safer choice.

Care & maintenance

Sweep or dry-mop Brianka regularly to keep sand and grit — common in Southwest Florida homes — from acting as an abrasive on the wear layer. For damp mopping, use a pH-neutral cleaner such as Bona Hard-Surface Floor Cleaner or a product specifically labeled safe for luxury vinyl; avoid anything acidic or solvent-based. Never use a steam mop on SPC flooring — the sustained heat can weaken the adhesive bond between layers and potentially cause the planks to gap or bow over time. A microfiber flat mop and the right cleaner are all this floor needs to stay looking sharp for years. For technical guidance, see the World Floor Covering Association vinyl flooring guide.

Frequently asked questions

Will standing water actually damage this floor, or just the surface?

Cyrus Brianka’s SPC core is fully waterproof — standing water won’t damage the plank itself. That said, water that sits long enough can seep into seams and reach the subfloor below, which is a separate concern. Clean up spills and puddles promptly, and make sure transitions and perimeter caulking are sealed at installation.

We have two large dogs — how well does this hold up to claws and accidents?

The 12-mil wear layer on Brianka handles normal pet nail traffic well and resists surface scratching better than thinner vinyl products. Accidents clean up easily since the core is waterproof. For very large, active dogs with sharp nails, area rugs near high-traffic zones are still a practical precaution to reduce wear over time.

Our house sits empty from May through November — will the floor be okay when we come back?

Cyrus Brianka is well-suited for seasonal homes because its rigid SPC core doesn’t expand and contract dramatically with temperature and humidity swings the way wood-based floors do. Keep the AC set to a moderate temperature while the home is vacant, and the floor should be in the same condition you left it when you return in the fall.

I don’t see plank dimensions listed — how wide and long are these planks, and does that affect the room?

Plank dimensions weren’t provided in the available product data, so we’d recommend confirming the exact size with our team before ordering. Generally, longer and wider planks create a more open, continuous look in larger rooms, while smaller spaces can handle either format well. Our in-home measure appointment is a good time to review this.

What’s the difference between SPC and regular LVP, and which one am I getting here?

Cyrus Brianka is an SPC (stone polymer composite) plank, which is a denser, more rigid type of luxury vinyl than standard LVP. The rigid core resists denting under heavy furniture, doesn’t flex under foot traffic, and handles temperature fluctuations better. Traditional LVP uses a softer core that can feel a little more cushioned but is more prone to indentation and movement over time.

Are there any rooms where this floor isn’t a good fit?

Cyrus Brianka works on any grade — slab, above-grade, or below-grade — and in wet areas like bathrooms and laundry rooms, making it one of the more versatile options we carry. The one honest limitation is purely aesthetic: if a room has heavy stone, formal traditional, or high-gloss finishes, a taupe wood-look plank may not complement the style the way tile or another material would.
