Prime Pinnacle In Liverpool Oak SPC Rigid-Core Plank starts at $3.99 per square foot installed in Fort Myers — a natural-toned oak-look floor built on TRUCOR’s rigid-core PRIME collection. The wide 12-by-90-inch planks carry a realistic wood grain in warm, natural oak tones. Flooring Queen handles every step of the installation, from measure to finished floor.
Southwest Florida homes sit on concrete slabs, face year-round humidity, and often go unoccupied for months at a stretch. Liverpool Oak is built for exactly that: the SPC rigid core won’t expand or contract with seasonal moisture swings, making it a reliable choice for snowbird homes and long-term rentals alike.
The 20 mil wear layer and TRUWEAR™ finish hold up to the sandy foot traffic that comes with coastal living, and the Valinge 2G locking system handles installation directly on concrete — above, on, or below grade — without any special subfloor membrane required.

Flooring Queen installs Prime Pinnacle in Liverpool Oak at $3.99 per square foot, covering removal of your old floor covering, disposal, standard subfloor preparation, full plank installation, baseboard reinstallation, and transition strips at doorways and room breaks.
Work that falls outside the standard scope — significant subfloor leveling, stair nosing installation, or intricate custom layouts — is quoted separately before any work begins. Schedule a free in-home measurement and you’ll receive a written line-item quote covering your exact square footage and any site-specific conditions we find.
Shoppers drawn to a natural oak look often consider engineered hardwood alongside SPC rigid-core vinyl. Engineered hardwood offers a genuine wood surface that can be lightly sanded and refinished, and its feel underfoot is warmer and slightly softer than rigid vinyl. That’s the honest upside.
On the other hand, Liverpool Oak’s SPC core is fully waterproof — a concrete-slab home in Southwest Florida with any moisture history is simply a better match for vinyl than for engineered wood. The 20 mil wear layer resists scratching better than most engineered veneer layers, and the installed price is meaningfully lower. If authenticity of wood species matters more than water resistance, engineered hardwood wins. If durability and moisture performance lead the decision, this floor does.
| Prime Pinnacle in Liverpool Oak | Engineered Hardwood | |
|---|---|---|
| Water resistance | Fully waterproof core | Moisture-sensitive; warps if wet |
| Scratch resistance / wear layer | 20 mil commercial wear layer | Thin veneer; varies by species |
| Comfort underfoot | IXPE pad attached; firm feel | Warmer, softer wood feel |
| Installed price | $3.99 / sq ft installed | ~$8.99 / sq ft installed |
| Best room | Any level, wet or dry spaces | Dry rooms above grade only |
Sweep or vacuum regularly using a hard-floor setting — avoid beater-bar attachments, which can scuff the wear layer over time. Damp-mop with a pH-neutral cleaner such as Bona Stone, Tile & Laminate or a vinyl-specific formula; never use a steam mop, as sustained heat and pressure can compromise the locking joints and the IXPE pad beneath. Skip wax, polish, or oil-based cleaners entirely — the TRUWEAR™ finish doesn’t need them and they’ll leave a residue that dulls the surface. For technical guidance, see the World Floor Covering Association vinyl flooring guide.
The SPC rigid core in Liverpool Oak is fully waterproof, so standing water won’t swell or buckle the planks themselves. That said, water that sits long enough to seep under the floor and into the subfloor is a separate issue — prompt cleanup is still the right practice regardless of core construction.
The 20 mil wear layer is one of the thicker residential options available and resists claw scratching far better than most engineered wood veneers or standard LVP. Accidents clean up easily on the waterproof surface; just wipe before moisture has a chance to work into seams at the edges.
Liverpool Oak ships with an IXPE pad already bonded to the back of each plank, so no separate underlayment purchase is needed. The attached pad adds a layer of cushion underfoot, softens the hollow sound that rigid-core floors sometimes produce on concrete, and provides a small thermal buffer.
At 12 inches wide and 90 inches long, each plank covers significant ground with fewer end joints, which gives large rooms a cleaner, less-busy appearance. In smaller spaces the wide format can visually open the floor up, though it also means each plank needs a reasonably flat subfloor over its full length.
SPC (Stone Plastic Composite) uses a limestone-filled rigid core that is denser and dimensionally more stable than the flexible core in standard LVP. Liverpool Oak is SPC, which means it resists denting under heavy furniture, handles temperature swings better, and won’t flex over minor subfloor imperfections the way softer vinyl can.
Many Southwest Florida condo HOAs specify a minimum IIC or STC rating, and some require a submitted underlayment specification before installation can begin. The attached IXPE pad contributes to impact sound reduction, but you should pull your association’s exact requirements and share them with us before ordering — we can document the product specs for your board submission.
