Pinnacle – Argyll* SPC Rigid-Core Plank starts at $3.99 per square foot installed in Fort Myers — a natural-toned, wide-plank floor from Happy Feet’s Pinnacle collection that’s built to handle real life without apology. The 7″ x 60″ format reads like genuine hardwood, and the Stabilicor® rigid core keeps it stable on the concrete slabs common throughout Southwest Florida. If you want the look of wood with none of the moisture anxiety, this is the plank to consider.
With 11.5 mm of total thickness and a Stabilicor® extruded core, Pinnacle – Argyll* was designed for the specific challenges of Southwest Florida living: high ambient humidity, direct-to-slab installation without a crawl space, and the salt-air exposure that shortens the life of materials that absorb moisture. The floating click-lock install also means the floor can move slightly with temperature swings — a real advantage in homes that sit empty for months during the off-season.
The 28-mil wear layer with ZeroMark® stain resistance handles high-traffic areas — entry halls, kitchens, family rooms — without showing the scuffs and heel marks that plague thinner vinyl products. It’s a practical choice for rentals, vacation properties, and primary residences alike.

Flooring Queen installs Pinnacle – Argyll* at $3.99 per square foot, and that price covers more than just the plank itself. It includes delivery to your home, removal and disposal of your existing floor covering, surface-level subfloor preparation, the installation itself, new baseboards, and any standard transition strips between rooms or thresholds.
Some jobs require upcharges: significant floor-leveling work on an uneven slab, stair nosing, or any decorative cuts like custom borders or herringbone patterns will be quoted separately. We offer a free in-home measurement visit and provide a written project quote before any work begins — no surprises on the invoice.
Shoppers who like the natural wood look that Argyll* delivers often look at engineered hardwood as an alternative. Engineered hardwood is real wood on its surface, which gives it genuine grain depth and the option to refinish — advantages SPC vinyl can’t match. However, engineered hardwood is vulnerable to moisture, and in Southwest Florida that’s a serious limitation. Even with a humidity-controlled home, slab installations and the occasional plumbing leak put engineered hardwood at real risk. Pinnacle – Argyll* is fully waterproof through the core, cleans up completely from standing water, and costs significantly less installed. Engineered hardwood makes sense if refinishing potential and authentic wood grain matter most to you; SPC wins on moisture tolerance, installed cost, and long-term worry-free maintenance in a coastal climate.
| Pinnacle – Argyll* | Engineered Hardwood | |

| Installed price | $3.99 / sq ft installed | ~$8.99 / sq ft installed |
| Best room | Any room, including wet areas | Dry living areas; avoid baths, laundry |
Sweep or dry-mop Pinnacle – Argyll* regularly to keep grit from acting as an abrasive under foot traffic — this is the single most effective thing you can do to extend the life of the wear layer. For deeper cleaning, use a pH-neutral vinyl floor cleaner such as Bona Stone, Tile & Laminate or a comparable product; avoid anything acidic, oil-based, or abrasive. Do not use a steam mop on SPC rigid-core flooring — the heat and sustained moisture can compromise the locking joints and the adhesive layers within the plank construction. A microfiber flat mop is the right tool for routine damp cleaning. For technical guidance, see the World Floor Covering Association vinyl flooring guide.
Pinnacle – Argyll* has a waterproof rigid core, meaning standing water on the surface won’t damage the plank itself. That said, water that sits long enough to seep under the floor at seams or transitions can affect the subfloor beneath. Wipe up spills and puddles promptly, and make sure perimeter transitions are properly sealed.
The 28-mil wear layer on this plank is one of the thicker options in the residential vinyl category, and it resists everyday scratching from pet nails better than thinner 6- or 12-mil products. The ZeroMark® finish also makes pet messes easy to wipe clean without staining. Trim nails regularly to reduce surface wear over time.
Pinnacle – Argyll* works well in virtually any interior room — kitchens, bathrooms, living areas, bedrooms, and below-grade spaces on concrete slabs. The floating click-lock install is not designed for outdoor or covered-lanai applications, and it should not be glued down. It’s well-suited to ground-level and above-grade installations alike.
Quality SPC vinyl plank is broadly accepted by buyers in Southwest Florida and rarely hurts resale value in this market. Buyers here prioritize waterproof, low-maintenance floors over hardwood, so a well-installed 28-mil plank often reads as a practical upgrade. It won’t appraise as high as real hardwood, but it tends not to be a negotiating point.
A single room typically takes one day; a whole-home install of 1,000–1,500 square feet generally runs two to three days depending on layout complexity and how much subfloor prep is needed. The Unilin Unipush click system is efficient to install, which keeps labor time reasonable. Your written quote will include a project-specific schedule.
Many Southwest Florida condo HOAs require floors to meet a minimum IIC and STC rating, typically with an attached or added underlayment to reduce impact noise to the unit below. Pinnacle – Argyll* is a floating floor, which makes it compatible with added underlayment pads, but you should confirm your association’s specific decibel requirements and submit documentation before installation begins. We can help with that process.
