Lia Square SPC Rigid-Core Plank starts at $3.99 per square foot installed in Fort Myers — a clean off-white, 36×36-inch tile-format floor from CPF Floors’ Deco Square collection. The large-format squares bring an airy, modern look that reads well in open-plan spaces common throughout Southwest Florida homes. Flooring Queen handles the full installation so you get a polished result without the guesswork.
Southwest Florida homes live hard — humidity climbs year-round, concrete slabs are the standard foundation, and salt air drifts inland faster than most homeowners expect. Lia Square is built for exactly that environment. Its rigid SPC core does not expand and contract with moisture the way wood-based products do, making it a stable choice over slab installations near the coast or in rooms that see heavy humidity.
The 20 mil wear layer and heavy residential / general commercial traffic rating make this a practical pick for entryways, kitchens, and main living areas. Seasonal and rental properties benefit from the easy-clean surface — sand, salt residue, and everyday dirt wipe up without special treatment.

Flooring Queen installs Lia Square at $3.99 per square foot, and that price covers the full scope of a standard job: delivery to your home, removal of the existing floor covering, routine subfloor prep, installation of the planks, new baseboards, transition strips, and cleanup and disposal of the old material.
Some projects need more work before the floor goes down. Heavy subfloor leveling, stair nosing, complex geometric layouts, or custom border cuts are priced separately — your installer will identify any of those during the in-home measure. Flooring Queen provides a written quote before any work begins, so there are no surprises on invoice day. Call or book online to schedule your free measure.
Large-format tile shoppers often compare Lia Square directly against porcelain, and it’s a fair fight. Porcelain is genuinely harder — better scratch resistance from sharp objects and a longer track record in high-heat areas. Where Lia Square wins is comfort, speed, and cost. SPC is warmer and quieter underfoot than ceramic or porcelain over concrete, the attached 1mm EVA pad adds cushion that grout lines never can, and installation is faster because there’s no mortar or curing time involved.
Porcelain also requires grout, which needs periodic sealing and cleaning. Lia Square’s surface has no grout lines to maintain. If your priority is long-term scratch hardness or outdoor use, porcelain has the edge. If you want a tile look without grout upkeep and cold floors, Lia Square is the practical choice.
| Lia Square | Porcelain Tile | |
|---|---|---|
| Water resistance | 100% waterproof core | Waterproof tile; grout can absorb moisture |
| Scratch resistance / wear layer | 20 mil wear layer; heavy residential | Harder surface; no wear layer rating |
| Comfort underfoot | Warm, cushioned with EVA pad | Hard and cold over concrete slab |
| Installed price | $3.99/sq ft | ~$8.99/sq ft |
| Best room | Living areas, kitchens, rental homes | Wet areas, high-heat zones, outdoors |
Sweep or dry-mop Lia Square regularly to prevent grit from scratching the surface — fine sand is the most common culprit in Southwest Florida homes. For damp mopping, use a pH-neutral vinyl floor cleaner such as Bona Hard-Surface Floor Cleaner or a diluted Murphy’s Oil Soap alternative formulated for vinyl; avoid acidic or solvent-based products that can dull the wear layer over time. Never use a steam mop — the sustained heat and moisture can compromise the locking joints and the attached pad beneath the planks. Wipe up spills promptly even though the core is waterproof, because standing water at the perimeter and transitions can still wick under baseboards. For technical guidance, see the World Floor Covering Association vinyl flooring guide.
Lia Square has a 100% waterproof SPC core, so water that sits on the surface or soaks through a seam will not swell or warp the plank itself. The practical limit is the perimeter — prolonged standing water at baseboards or transitions can still migrate into the subfloor, so mopping up puddles promptly is still good practice.
The 20 mil wear layer gives Lia Square a heavy residential traffic rating, which handles most pet nails and everyday clawing without visible scratching under normal conditions. Cleanup is straightforward — no fibers to trap pet hair and no grout lines to hold odors. Dragging heavy furniture without felt pads is the most common cause of deeper gouges.
SPC stands for stone plastic composite — the core is denser and more rigid than standard LVP, which uses a softer, more flexible vinyl construction. That rigidity means Lia Square resists denting under heavy furniture and stays flat over uneven subfloor surfaces better than flexible LVP. The trade-off is that SPC transmits a little more sound, which the attached pad helps offset.
Lia Square includes a 1mm HD EVA pad bonded directly to the back of each plank, so no separate underlayment purchase is needed for most installations. That built-in layer softens the feel underfoot, reduces the hollow sound common on rigid-core floors over concrete, and simplifies the install by eliminating one step.
The 36×36-inch format is noticeably larger than the standard 12×24 tile or narrow plank, which makes smaller rooms feel more open and reduces the number of visible seams across a large floor. Installation requires careful layout planning to avoid awkward cut sizes at walls, so your installer will measure and map the room before the first plank goes down.
A single room in the 200–300 sq ft range typically takes one day once the old floor is removed and the slab is prepped. A full-home install of 1,000–1,500 sq ft usually runs two to three days. The drop-lock click system on Lia Square is straightforward, but large-format squares require precise alignment, so layout time factors into the schedule.
