Sweep or vacuum with a soft-bristle attachment daily — gritty Southwest Florida sand is the main wear culprit on any wood finish. For cleaning, use a hardwood-specific product such as Bona Hardwood Floor Cleaner or a WOCA-approved cleaner applied with a damp (not wet) mop; standing water on engineered wood is never safe. Skip steam mops entirely — the heat and moisture can delaminate the wear layer over time. Acidic or ammonia-based household cleaners will dull the polyurethane-and-aluminum-oxide finish, so stick to pH-balanced hardwood solutions only.
