Sweep or dust-mop Antler Oak regularly — fine sand and grit tracked in from outside are the most consistent source of surface wear on any vinyl floor. For cleaning, use a pH-neutral hard-surface cleaner such as Bona Hard-Surface Floor Cleaner or a diluted castile soap; avoid anything acidic, oil-based, or abrasive. Never use a steam mop on SPC flooring — the sustained heat can soften the IXPE pad layer and affect the locking joints over time. The SPC core in Antler Oak is fully waterproof — standing water on the surface or seeping through the seams won’t cause the plank itself to swell or buckle. That said, water that migrates under the floor and sits on the subfloor long-term is a subfloor problem, not a plank problem, and should still be addressed promptly.
