Specifications

Pinnacle – Edinburgh SPC Rigid-Core Plank starts at $3.99/sq ft installed in Fort Myers — a warm natural-tone floor from Happy Feet’s Pinnacle™ collection built on an 11.5 mm Stabilicor® core. At 7″ x 60″, the plank reads like real wood without any of real wood’s moisture liability. Flooring Queen brings this to Southwest Florida homes with full installation included.

What Pinnacle – Edinburgh SPC Rigid-Core Plank is built for

Edinburgh is built for the conditions Southwest Florida actually throws at a floor. The Stabilicor® rigid core won’t expand and contract with Florida’s humidity swings, and it lays flat directly on concrete slab foundations without a moisture membrane fight. The 28 mil wear layer — among the thicker options in the vinyl category — handles foot traffic, sandy floors tracked in from the beach, and pets without flinching.

Seasonal and rental homes benefit here too. Edinburgh’s ZeroMark® stain resistance and click-lock installation mean the floor handles gaps in attention during the off-season and cleans up fast when tenants turn over. Coastal exposure near Sanibel or Pine Island? The rigid core is indifferent to salt air humidity that would buckle wood.

Installed pricing in Fort Myers & Southwest Florida

Flooring Queen installs Edinburgh at $3.99 per square foot, and that number covers the full scope of a standard project: delivery of materials, removal of your existing floor covering, floor prep for routine leveling needs, the installation itself, new baseboards, transition strips between rooms, and debris removal when the crew wraps up.

A few things fall outside that base price. Significant subfloor leveling — slabs with dips deeper than standard tolerance — is an upcharge, as are stair nosing pieces, decorative inlays, or unusually complex room layouts. Schedule a free in-home measure and Flooring Queen will walk the space, identify any prep needs upfront, and put the full number in writing before any commitment is made.

How Pinnacle – Edinburgh SPC Rigid-Core Plank compares

Edinburgh SPC and engineered hardwood compete in the same price conversation, and they’re genuinely different products for different priorities. Edinburgh wins on moisture: the Stabilicor® core is 100% waterproof, which makes it the safer call for kitchens, laundry rooms, and any space on a slab in a humid climate. Engineered hardwood is more moisture-tolerant than solid wood, but it’s not waterproof — a flood event or a slow leak can still cause swelling and delamination.

Engineered hardwood wins on authenticity. It’s real wood on the surface, it can be lightly refinished once or twice depending on the veneer thickness, and it holds resale appeal with buyers who specifically want wood. Edinburgh can’t be refinished. For coastal Florida homes where moisture and slab installs dominate, Edinburgh is the more practical choice. For a dry climate or a buyer who wants genuine wood, engineered hardwood competes seriously.

Care & maintenance

Edinburgh’s ZeroMark® surface and aluminum oxide finish clean up well with a pH-neutral cleaner — Bona Hard-Surface Floor Cleaner or a comparable vinyl-safe formula works well. Sweep or dry-mop regularly to keep grit from working under foot traffic, since fine sand is the most consistent wear agent in Southwest Florida homes. Avoid steam mops entirely; the heat and moisture can compromise the click joints over time. Skip oil-based soaps, wax products, and abrasive scrubbers — none are needed and all can dull the finish or leave residue that attracts dirt. For technical guidance, see the World Floor Covering Association vinyl flooring guide.

Frequently asked questions

Will standing water actually damage this floor, or is it just water-resistant on the surface?

Edinburgh’s Stabilicor® core is fully waterproof — standing water won’t swell or buckle the plank itself. The practical caveat is the seams: prolonged pooling that works between joints and reaches the subfloor can still cause subfloor issues. Clean up spills and flooding promptly, and you’re well protected.

We have two large dogs — is this floor going to show every scratch?

Edinburgh’s 28 mil wear layer is one of the thicker options in the SPC category, and it handles dog nails notably better than standard 12 or 20 mil products. The EIR embossing also helps hide minor surface scuffs. Routine claw scratches from large breeds may still appear over years of heavy use, but cleanup of muddy paws and accidents is easy.

Does Flooring Queen install in areas outside Fort Myers?

Flooring Queen installs Edinburgh throughout Southwest Florida, including Cape Coral, Bonita Springs, Estero, Naples, and surrounding communities. If you’re unsure whether your address falls in the service area, a quick call or the online form will confirm it — scheduling a measure costs nothing.

Are there any rooms in my house where this plank isn’t a good fit?

Edinburgh works well in virtually every room of a typical Florida home — kitchens, bathrooms, living areas, bedrooms, and below-grade spaces on concrete slab. The click-lock floating installation isn’t designed for outdoor or screened-lanai use with direct sun exposure or rain contact. For covered interior spaces, there’s no significant room restriction.

What does Happy Feet actually cover under the warranty on the Pinnacle line?

Happy Feet’s Pinnacle collection typically carries a lifetime residential warranty covering manufacturing defects, structural integrity, and wear-layer performance under normal residential use. Commercial coverage is more limited. Specific warranty documents are available from Flooring Queen at the time of purchase — it’s worth reviewing the exclusions around improper installation or subfloor movement.

My current floor is old ceramic tile — does it have to come up first, or can this go on top of it?

Edinburgh’s Unilin Unipush click-lock system can float over many existing hard surfaces, including ceramic tile, as long as the surface is flat, stable, and in good condition. Loose, cracked, or heavily uneven tiles typically need to be addressed first. The in-home measure lets us assess the existing floor and tell you exactly what prep is needed before any work begins.
