Pinnacle – Manchester* SPC Rigid-Core Plank starts at $3.99/sq ft installed in Fort Myers — a natural-toned rigid-core floor from Happy Feet’s Pinnacle™ collection. At 11.5 mm thick with a 28 mil wear layer, it’s built to take real-life use without fuss. Flooring Queen carries and installs it throughout Southwest Florida.
Manchester* fits anywhere moisture is a concern — kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, and the ground-floor living spaces that are standard in Southwest Florida slab-construction homes. The Stabilicor® extruded core won’t swell or buckle in the humidity that cycles through coastal and inland homes alike, and it handles the temperature swings seasonal or snowbird properties see when left unoccupied.
The 28 mil wear layer is thick enough for high-traffic rooms, rental properties, and households with pets or kids. The painted bevel edge and EIR embossing give the plank visual depth, while ZeroMark® stain resistance keeps the surface looking clean even in sandy, salt-air environments near the coast.

Flooring Queen installs Pinnacle – Manchester* at $3.99 per square foot, which covers quite a bit: delivery to your home, removal of your existing floor covering, standard subfloor prep, the click-lock installation itself, baseboards, transition strips, and cleanup and removal of all job debris once we’re done.
A few situations carry additional cost. Heavy subfloor leveling — common in older Fort Myers slab homes with settled concrete — is priced separately, as are stair nosing, diagonal or herringbone layouts, and custom border work. The best way to get a firm number is to schedule a free in-home measure; we’ll walk every room and hand you a written, itemized quote before any work begins.
Engineered hardwood gives you a real-wood surface and a warmer, more traditional feel underfoot — advantages that appeal to buyers who want authentic wood grain and the option to lightly refinish the surface down the road. Manchester* can’t be sanded or refinished.
Where Manchester* has a clear edge is moisture tolerance. Southwest Florida’s humidity, concrete slabs, and the occasional splash or pet accident are hard on engineered hardwood, which still requires controlled moisture conditions and careful acclimation. Manchester’s Stabilicor® core is fully waterproof through the plank, not just at the surface. It also installs faster and at a lower price point, which matters on full-home projects.
| Pinnacle – Manchester* | Engineered Hardwood | |
|---|---|---|
| Water resistance | Waterproof through the core | Surface-tolerant; moisture damages core |
| Scratch resistance / wear layer | 28 mil commercial-grade wear layer | Thin veneer; depends on finish hardness |
| Comfort underfoot | Firm; 11.5 mm with rigid core | Slightly warmer, more natural flex |
| Installed price | $3.99/sq ft installed | ~$8.99/sq ft installed |
| Best room | Kitchens, baths, full home on slab | Bedrooms, above-grade living areas |
Keep Manchester* clean with a pH-neutral vinyl floor cleaner — brands like Bona Stone, Tile & Laminate or Rejuvenate Floor Cleaner work well. Avoid steam mops entirely; the heat and pressurized moisture can compromise the locking joints over time. A microfiber mop is the right tool for daily maintenance. Skip abrasive scrubbers and anything solvent-based, as these can dull the ZeroMark® finish layer. Sweep or vacuum regularly — use a hard-floor setting on your vacuum to keep the beater bar off the surface — and wipe up standing water promptly even though the core itself is waterproof. For technical guidance, see the World Floor Covering Association vinyl flooring guide.
Pinnacle – Manchester* is genuinely waterproof through the core — the Stabilicor® construction won’t swell, warp, or delaminate from water exposure. That said, water sitting under baseboards or working into wall cavities is a structure issue, not a flooring one. Wipe up puddles promptly and make sure transitions are sealed properly.
The 28 mil wear layer on Manchester* is well above what most residential floors carry, and it resists the surface scratches that lighter wear layers show quickly. Cleanup from pet accidents is straightforward — the waterproof core means liquid won’t reach the subfloor. Trim your pets’ nails regularly to get the most out of that wear layer.
A single room typically takes one day; a whole home — say 1,200 to 1,800 square feet — usually runs two to three days. The Unilin Unipush click-lock system moves quickly, but time adds up if subfloor work is needed first. We’ll confirm a realistic schedule once we measure your space.
Flooring Queen installs Pinnacle – Manchester* throughout Southwest Florida, including Cape Coral, Bonita Springs, and the greater Fort Myers area. SPC stands for stone-plastic composite — the core is denser and harder than traditional LVP, which uses a softer vinyl or foam-based core. Manchester* is SPC, meaning it resists denting under heavy furniture, holds up on uneven subfloors better, and stays dimensionally stable in the heat and humidity cycles common in Southwest Florida homes.
Many SWFL condo boards require a minimum IIC sound rating, and some specify that underlayment documentation be submitted for approval before installation begins. Manchester* uses a click-lock floating install, so a separate underlayment can be added to meet your building’s specs. Bring your HOA’s requirements to your measure appointment and we’ll confirm what’s needed.
