About LW Flooring
LW Flooring focuses exclusively on engineered hardwood. That single-category focus tends to show in the product depth — 18 distinct collections covering a wide range of wood species, plank widths, and finish tones, from light naturals to deep, wire-brushed darks.
Engineered hardwood uses a real wood veneer bonded to a multi-ply or HDF core. That construction resists the expansion and contraction that causes solid hardwood to gap or cup when temperatures and humidity shift. Finish quality matters a lot in how a floor wears over the years, and LW Flooring’s lines generally carry aluminum-oxide surface treatments, which is the standard for durability in this category. The brand sits in the mid-to-upper end of the engineered hardwood market — not a builder-grade line, but accessible enough that it competes in both remodel and new-construction projects. Warranty terms vary by collection, so ask us to pull the spec sheet for any floor you’re seriously considering.
Collections from LW Flooring at Flooring Queen
LW Flooring’s 18 collections break into a clear range of looks, from relaxed coastal to refined European. The three largest collections give a good sense of the breadth. Paradise Island (15 products) leans into lighter, tropical-influenced tones — names like Bali and Caicos tell you where the palette is headed. Sonoma Valley (14 products) goes the other direction: deeper, wine-country-inspired colors built for rooms that want warmth and richness. Traditions (14 products) covers the reliable middle ground — approachable wood tones that fit a wide range of interior styles without competing with them.

Installing LW Flooring in Southwest Florida
Southwest Florida is hard on wood floors. The combination of high ambient humidity, aggressive AC cycling, and the fact that most homes here are built on concrete slabs creates conditions that expose weaknesses in any engineered product fast. What we’ve seen with LW Flooring is that the multi-ply core holds up reasonably well to our climate when the install is done right — meaning a proper moisture barrier over the slab, acclimation time respected, and expansion gaps maintained at the perimeter.
Where we see problems — with any engineered hardwood, not just this brand — is when homeowners skip acclimation or when the slab has elevated moisture vapor emission. We always test slabs before installation. In conditioned spaces like living rooms, bedrooms, and dining areas, LW Flooring performs well here. We’re more cautious recommending it in rooms with direct exterior door traffic or in lanai-adjacent spaces where humidity swings are harder to control. Have questions about your specific floor plan?
