Specifications

Completion SPC Rigid-Core Plank starts at $3.99/sq ft installed in Fort Myers — a warm caramel-toned floor from CPF Floors’ Project 2.0 collection that suits the sun-drenched, high-moisture reality of Southwest Florida living. The wide 9″×48″ plank format gives rooms an open, relaxed feel, and the tan tones read equally well in casual beach cottages and newer concrete-slab homes.

What Completion SPC Rigid-Core Plank is built for

Completion is built for the rooms that take the most abuse — kitchens, mudrooms, main living areas, and rental properties where floors need to hold up between tenants. The rigid SPC core doesn’t swell or buckle when humidity climbs, which matters in a region where indoor air can feel like a sauna from June through September. The 1.5mm HD EVA pad attached at the factory softens foot traffic on hard concrete slabs and cuts down on hollow sound.

The 20 mil wear layer and Heavy Residential / General Commercial traffic rating mean this floor won’t show wear quickly under pets, sandy feet, or the steady turnover of a snowbird rental. It won’t be bothered by salt air, either — a real advantage for homes near Cape Coral canals or beachside properties in Bonita Springs.

Installed pricing in Fort Myers & Southwest Florida

Flooring Queen installs Completion at $3.99 per square foot, and that price covers quite a bit: delivery to your address, removal of your old flooring, light subfloor prep for typical slab conditions, the full installation, and reinstallation of baseboards and transition strips. Old flooring and debris are carted away when the crew leaves.

A few things do run extra. If your slab has significant dips or high spots that need leveling compound, that’s an upcharge — the same goes for stair nosing, custom inlay borders, or unusually intricate room layouts. Call Flooring Queen for a free in-home measure and a written, room-by-room quote before you commit to a budget.

How Completion SPC Rigid-Core Plank compares

Waterproof laminate and SPC rigid-core both offer wood-look visuals at a mid-range price, so shoppers frequently weigh them against each other. The core difference is what’s underneath the decorative layer. Waterproof laminate uses a treated HDF core that resists moisture better than standard laminate but can still swell at seams with prolonged standing water. Completion’s SPC core is stone-plastic composite — inherently dimensionally stable and genuinely unaffected by moisture.

Waterproof laminate can feel slightly warmer and more cushioned underfoot, and some shoppers prefer its acoustic profile. But in a Florida home built on a slab, with the possibility of a slow appliance leak or a hurricane door-gap, the SPC core provides a real margin of safety that HDF-based products don’t. Laminate also typically installs at a higher price point in this market.

Care & maintenance

Sweep or dust-mop Completion regularly to prevent fine sand — unavoidable in Southwest Florida — from acting as an abrasive underfoot. For wet cleaning, a pH-neutral vinyl floor cleaner such as Bona Stone, Tile & Laminate or a diluted dish-soap solution works well; wring the mop nearly dry before contact with the floor. Avoid steam mops entirely — the sustained heat and pressure can weaken the click joints and delaminate the attached pad over time. Never use abrasive scrubbers, wax-based products, or solvent cleaners, as these can dull or damage the wear layer. For technical guidance, see the World Floor Covering Association vinyl flooring guide.

Frequently asked questions

Will standing water actually damage this floor, or is ‘waterproof’ just marketing?

Completion’s SPC core is genuinely waterproof — standing water on the surface won’t swell or warp the plank itself. That said, water that works its way under the floor through gaps at walls or transitions can affect the subfloor below, so keeping perimeter caulk and transitions sealed is still important.

My dogs are rough on floors — will this hold up to claws and accidents?

The 20 mil wear layer gives Completion a Heavy Residential and General Commercial durability rating, which holds up well against dog nails and everyday scratching. Accidents clean up without staining since the surface is non-porous. Very large, active dogs may still leave fine surface marks over years, but this is one of the more resilient options in the vinyl category.

Does Flooring Queen install this product outside of Fort Myers?

Yes — Flooring Queen installs Completion throughout Southwest Florida, including Cape Coral and Naples, as well as surrounding communities. If you’re unsure whether your address is in the service area, a quick call to the showroom will confirm it and get a measure scheduled.

What’s a realistic timeline from measure to finished floors for a project like this?

A single room typically wraps up in one day once material is on-site. A full home — say 1,200 to 1,800 square feet — usually runs two to three days. Completion installs with an angle-angle click system that moves efficiently without adhesive, so there’s no cure time waiting before you can walk on it.

What’s the actual difference between SPC and regular LVP, and does it matter?

SPC stands for stone-plastic composite — the core contains limestone powder, which makes it denser and more dimensionally stable than traditional LVP’s foam or felt core. Completion is SPC, meaning it won’t flex or shift under heavy furniture, handles temperature swings better, and is less likely to telegraph subfloor imperfections. The trade-off is that SPC can feel slightly firmer underfoot than softer LVP.

Can this go directly over my old tile, or does the existing floor have to come up first?

In many cases, Completion can float directly over existing tile if the surface is flat, secure, and free of hollow or cracked pieces. The angle-angle installation method doesn’t require adhesive, which makes overlay installs straightforward. Flooring Queen will check surface height at doorways and transitions during the in-home measure to confirm whether overlay works or removal makes more sense.
