Tile With Cgt In Emperador Sable SPC Tile starts at $3.99/sq ft installed in Fort Myers — a rich brown stone-look floor from TRUCOR’s Tile with CGT collection that brings the warmth of Emperador marble to any room without the weight or upkeep of natural stone. The 16″ x 32″ format reads large and grounded, and the Ceragrout edge detail makes the grout lines look genuine. Flooring Queen carries and installs this one throughout Southwest Florida.
Southwest Florida homes are hard on flooring. Humidity sits high year-round, most slabs run at or below grade, and coastal salt air works into everything. Emperador Sable is SPC — a stone-plastic composite core — so it won’t swell, buckle, or warp when conditions shift. It installs above, on, or below grade, making it a practical choice for any room in a concrete-slab home.
The 20 mil wear layer and TRUWEAR™ finish hold up under real use: sandy feet tracked in from the beach, pet claws, rolling luggage in a seasonal rental. The attached TRUCOR IXPE pad softens the feel underfoot and adds a small measure of acoustic damping — useful in open-plan homes where hard floors echo.

Flooring Queen installs Emperador Sable at $3.99 per square foot, with the price covering product, delivery to your home, removal of your existing floor covering, standard subfloor preparation, installation, baseboards, and transition strips. Debris is cleared out when the crew leaves.
Some jobs carry additional costs: significant low spots or high areas that require leveling compound beyond routine prep, stair nosing, intricate herringbone or custom-border layouts. Call or visit the Fort Myers showroom for a free in-home measurement — you’ll get a written line-item quote before any work is scheduled, so the number you approve is the number on the invoice.
Porcelain tile and Emperador Sable look similar on the surface — both come in large-format stone looks, both clean easily, both work in wet areas. The real differences show up in installation cost, comfort, and what happens if a tile cracks. Porcelain installs around $8.99/sq ft here in Southwest Florida, more than double this SPC option. It’s also cold and hard underfoot, and a cracked porcelain tile typically requires grout removal and careful chiseling to replace.
Where porcelain wins: it handles steam, extreme heat near ranges and fireplaces, and direct sun on uncovered lanais better than SPC vinyl. If those conditions apply to your space, porcelain is the more durable long-term choice. For interior living areas and bathrooms where budget and comfort matter, Emperador Sable is a practical alternative.
| Tile with CGT in Emperador Sable | Porcelain Tile | |
|---|---|---|
| Water resistance | 100% waterproof core | Waterproof tile; grout requires sealing |
| Scratch resistance / wear layer | 20 mil TRUWEAR™ wear layer | Glazed surface; chips under sharp impact |
| Comfort underfoot | SPC with IXPE pad; softer feel | Hard, cold without radiant heat |
| Installed price | $3.99/sq ft installed | ~$8.99/sq ft installed |
| Best room | Living areas, baths, below-grade rooms | Lanais, high-heat zones, outdoor transitions |
Sweep or dry-mop Emperador Sable regularly — fine grit is the main enemy of the wear layer over time. For damp cleaning, use a pH-neutral vinyl floor cleaner such as Bona Stone, Tile & Laminate or a diluted mixture per label directions. Avoid steam mops entirely; sustained heat and pressurized steam can compromise the locking joints and the IXPE pad beneath the planks. Skip anything acidic — vinegar-based cleaners and citrus solutions are too harsh for the TRUWEAR™ finish. A microfiber flat mop is the right tool; a beater-bar vacuum on a hard-floor setting works fine for dry debris but keep the spinning brush off the surface. For technical guidance, see the World Floor Covering Association vinyl flooring guide.
Because Emperador Sable is an SPC vinyl tile with a Ceragrout edge — not actual grout — there is no porous grout joint to seal. The lines are part of the tile design itself. This is one of the practical advantages over real porcelain: no sealer, no annual maintenance schedule, no staining between the tiles.
A 16″ x 32″ format reads as large-format tile, which makes smaller rooms feel more open and reduces the number of grout lines in the field. It does require careful layout planning — the installer will check for lippage (adjacent tiles sitting at slightly different heights) and typically staggers the long joints to minimize any variation.
Stone-look tile flooring is broadly popular with buyers in Southwest Florida, and a large-format neutral brown like Emperador Sable tends to hold its appeal. SPC vinyl won’t add the same perceived value as real porcelain in a luxury market, but it photographs well and shows no wear — which matters more practically to most buyers than the material category.
Emperador Sable is rated for above-grade, on-grade, and below-grade installation, so it works throughout a typical one-story Florida home — living areas, kitchens, bathrooms, and bedrooms. It’s not ideal for uncovered outdoor lanais or areas with prolonged direct sun and heat exposure, where solid porcelain or concrete pavers hold up better long term.
In many cases, yes — TRUCOR’s I4F floating click system allows installation over an existing hard, flat surface without full demo. The condition that matters most is flatness: high spots, sunken areas, or cracked substrate beneath the existing floor will telegraph through. The Flooring Queen crew assesses the substrate during the pre-installation measure and advises on what prep is needed before anything is clicked together.
Flooring Queen installs Emperador Sable across a wide service area in Southwest Florida, including Cape Coral, Bonita Springs, and surrounding communities. If you’re unsure whether your address falls within the install zone, a quick call to the Fort Myers showroom will confirm — most of Lee and southern Collier counties are covered.
We chose every vinyl product in this catalog because it stands up to the realities of Florida living: humidity, sandy substrate, busy households. Flooring Queen installs what we sell, licensed and insured. Free in-home measure: (239) 763-0770.
