Tile With Cgt In Pietra Charcoal SPC Tile starts at $3.99/sq ft installed in Fort Myers — a deep charcoal stone-look floor built on TRUCOR’s rigid SPC core. The Pietra Charcoal colorway delivers a cool, slate-gray field that reads like natural stone without the weight or grout-sealing demands. Flooring Queen installs it throughout Southwest Florida with the full Ceragrout edge detail that makes the joints look genuinely grouted.
This is a floor for rooms that take abuse. The 6.0 mm SPC core doesn’t flex under furniture, won’t buckle in the humidity swings common to Southwest Florida, and installs above, on, or below grade — meaning it works on the concrete slab foundations that dominate Fort Myers and Cape Coral construction. The TRUCOR IXPE pad is laminated to the back, so it adds a measure of comfort and sound absorption without a separate underlayment step.
The 20 mil wear layer and TRUWEAR™ finish hold up under sandy foot traffic, pets, and the heavy cleaning cycles that come with coastal living. Snowbird and rental properties are a natural fit — the floating I4F click system means future repairs are manageable, and the charcoal color hides the fine silica grit that drifts in from screened lanais.

Flooring Queen installs this product at $3.99 per square foot, and that price covers more than just the planks going down. It includes delivery to your home, removal of the old flooring, standard subfloor preparation, installation of the tile, new baseboards, and transition strips at doorways or thresholds. Old material is taken off-site when the crew leaves.
A few things fall outside that base price: significant leveling work on an uneven slab, stair nosing, and decorative layouts like herringbone or custom borders that add cut time. If your subfloor has height variations beyond normal tolerance, we’ll price that separately at the quote stage. Call Flooring Queen to schedule a free in-home measurement and receive a written scope of work before any commitment is made.
Porcelain tile is the obvious comparison here — both products chase the same stone look, and porcelain genuinely delivers it with a harder, more heat-tolerant surface. Where porcelain pulls ahead: it handles direct sunlight and high heat without concern, and the surface is more scratch-resistant under sharp objects. It also adds more perceived value in a resale context.
Where the TRUCOR SPC wins: it’s warmer and softer underfoot, installs floating over an existing slab without thinset or curing time, and comes in significantly lower on installed cost. Real grout joints on porcelain require sealing and periodic maintenance; the Ceragrout edge on this product mimics the look without that upkeep burden. For a rental or a whole-house refresh on a budget, the SPC is the practical choice.

| Scratch resistance / wear layer | 20 mil / 0.5 mm TRUWEAR™ finish | Harder surface; no wear layer needed |
| Comfort underfoot | Softer; IXPE pad attached | Hard, cold feel on concrete |
| Installed price | $3.99/sq ft installed | ~$8.99/sq ft installed |

Sweep or vacuum regularly — a soft-bristle attachment works best, and avoid beater-bar settings that can scuff the TRUWEAR™ surface over time. For mopping, use a pH-neutral cleaner such as Bona Stone, Tile & Laminate or a diluted Fabuloso; avoid acidic or bleach-based products that can dull the finish. Steam mops are not recommended for SPC floors — the sustained heat and moisture can compromise the locking joints and the attached IXPE pad. Clean up spills promptly, though the waterproof core means a slow response won’t cause swelling. For technical guidance, see the World Floor Covering Association vinyl flooring guide.
No — the Ceragrout edge on this product is a factory-applied detail on the tile itself, not actual grout, so there’s nothing to seal or reseal. It mimics the look of a grouted joint without the porosity that makes traditional grout absorb stains and require periodic sealer application.
A 12″×24″ format reads large-scale and modern, which works well in open-plan living areas and bathrooms. Larger tiles require a flatter subfloor to minimize lippage — slight height variation between adjacent tiles — so our installer will assess your slab condition before the job begins. Staggered layouts at a 1/3 offset are common with this size.
In Southwest Florida, floor temperature is rarely a problem — winters are mild and most homes stay warm year-round. The attached IXPE pad also provides a modest thermal buffer compared to bare porcelain on a concrete slab. Homeowners who keep AC very low may still notice a cool feel, but it’s far less pronounced than with traditional tile.
In many cases it can float directly over an existing hard floor, but it depends on total finished height and the condition of what’s underneath. The I4F click system is a floating installation, so no adhesive is required. Our installer will check for high spots, loose material, and door clearance at the free measure before making a final recommendation.
Neutral stone-look flooring in a charcoal or gray tone is broadly appealing to SWFL buyers and tends to photograph well, which matters in a market driven by listing photos. It won’t guarantee a dollar-for-dollar return, but dated or damaged flooring is a common buyer objection — replacing it removes a negotiating chip from the other side.
Flooring Queen installs this product throughout the region, including Cape Coral and Naples, as well as the broader Fort Myers metro area.
