Specifications

Delta Tan SPC Rigid-Core Plank starts at $3.99 per square foot installed in Fort Myers — a warm beige floor from Neptune’s Valor collection designed for homes that need real waterproof performance without sacrificing a clean, natural look. The wide 9-inch plank format and embossed-in-register texture give it a grounded, organic feel that works well in open-plan spaces.

What Delta Tan SPC Rigid-Core Plank is built for

Southwest Florida homes are tough on flooring. Humidity hovers year-round, most slabs sit at or below grade, and salt air works its way into coastal properties. Delta Tan’s 100% waterproof SPC rigid core doesn’t expand or contract with moisture swings the way wood-based products do, making it a sound choice for kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, and below-grade areas that standard products can’t handle.

The pre-attached IXPE backing adds a layer of cushion over concrete slabs and helps muffle foot traffic — useful for snowbird properties and rental homes where comfort and low-maintenance durability both matter. The antimicrobial finish also holds up in the humid conditions that can encourage surface mold growth.

Installed pricing in Fort Myers & Southwest Florida

Delta Tan is priced at $3.99 per square foot, fully installed by Flooring Queen’s own crew. That price covers delivery to your Fort Myers-area home, removal of your old flooring, subfloor cleaning and minor prep, the floating installation itself, new baseboard installation, and transition strips between rooms. Old material gets loaded out — nothing left for you to deal with.

Some scopes cost more: significant subfloor leveling, stair nosing, complex room geometries, or custom border work are quoted separately. The best way to get an accurate number is to schedule a free in-home measurement. You’ll receive a written line-item quote before any work begins.

How Delta Tan SPC Rigid-Core Plank compares

Waterproof laminate and SPC rigid-core planks look similar on the shelf, but the core material is the real difference. Laminate — even the waterproof type — uses an HDF wood-fiber core that can swell if water sits long enough or works through seams. Delta Tan’s SPC core is stone-plastic composite: it simply doesn’t absorb water. That matters in Southwest Florida bathrooms, laundry rooms, and any space near exterior doors.

Where laminate has an edge is underfoot feel. A thicker HDF core tends to feel slightly warmer and softer underfoot than SPC. Delta Tan’s IXPE backing closes some of that gap, but laminate still wins on acoustic softness. For dry living areas, laminate is a reasonable choice. For wet or high-humidity rooms, SPC is the safer long-term call.

Care & maintenance

Sweep or dust-mop Delta Tan regularly — fine grit tracked in from sandy Southwest Florida driveways is the most common source of surface wear over time. For damp mopping, use a pH-neutral cleaner such as Bona Hard-Surface Floor Cleaner or a product specifically labeled safe for SPC or LVP; avoid anything acidic or abrasive. Do not use a steam mop — the heat and pressure can compromise the locking joints and loosen the IXPE backing. Wipe up standing water promptly even though the core is waterproof, because prolonged pooling around edges and transitions can work beneath the planks. Frequently asked questions

Will standing water actually damage this floor, or is ‘waterproof’ just a marketing term?

Delta Tan’s SPC core is genuinely 100% waterproof — the core itself will not swell or buckle from moisture exposure. That said, water that sits for extended periods around unsealed transitions or baseboards can still work under the floor, so prompt cleanup and proper sealing at perimeter edges matter.

My dog is 70 pounds and does zoomies on hard floors — will this hold up?

The 22 mil wear layer gives Delta Tan solid scratch resistance against pet nails, placing it well above the minimum threshold for active pets. Cleanup is straightforward since the waterproof surface doesn’t absorb accidents. Heavy, large-breed dogs may still leave fine scuffs over years, but the floor holds up better than most wood alternatives.

What’s the actual difference between SPC and regular LVP — is one just a marketing upgrade?

SPC (stone-plastic composite) has a denser, more rigid core than traditional LVP, which uses a softer PVC base. That rigidity means SPC resists denting under heavy furniture, stays more dimensionally stable in temperature swings, and bridges minor subfloor imperfections better. Delta Tan is SPC — a meaningful step up in structural performance, not just a label.

How many days should I block off for a full install — are we talking a weekend or a full week?

A single room typically goes in within a day. A full home of 1,000–1,500 square feet usually takes two to three days depending on layout complexity and how much subfloor prep is needed. Delta Tan’s Tight Lock tap-down system is straightforward for experienced installers, which keeps the timeline tight.

Those are wide planks — how does the size affect how my room looks?

At just over 9 inches wide and more than 60 inches long, Delta Tan runs larger than most residential planks. Wider boards mean fewer seams across the floor, which tends to make rooms read as more open. In smaller rooms, the scale can feel bold; in open-plan spaces common in Southwest Florida homes, it generally works well.

What does the warranty actually cover, and how long does it last?

Neptune backs Delta Tan with a lifetime limited residential warranty, a 15-year light commercial warranty, and a 15-year commercial warranty. These cover manufacturing defects and wear-through of the surface layer under normal use. Warranty terms require proper installation and approved care products, so keep your install documentation and use pH-neutral cleaners.
